Well, not really but my roses think it is. They’re already bursting into bloom. Here in west Houston, they tend to bloom early because they hate the summer heat, and temperatures have been pretty mild.
I love to step in the back yard and clip a few and bring them in. They smell wonderful. These are an antique variety – I don’t remember what they’re called. We planted them years and years ago but they bloom profusely every single year.
It’s February 14th once again. Even if you don’t have a sweetheart, it’s still fun to indulge in romance. If there is no one to buy you flowers, buy your own and enjoy them. (Excuse the mess – this is my office and I am always busy!!!)
I was lucky enough to get flowers this year. I don’t get them every year so I treasure them when I do. These tulips smell heavenly and are absolutely beautiful. I got them on Monday, and they still look fresh.
I love hearts and use almost any excuse to put them up. These are actually Christmas ornaments but I won’t tell if you don’t.
My sweet husband, the Farm Boy, gave me some beautiful white roses, one of my favorite flowers. I like them better than the red ones.
I like the simplicity of the white ones – they represent purity to me.
My daughter gave me several nice things – a candle, Pitbull CD, and a charm for my charm bracelet. Farm Boy also bought me a charm. I felt very special and loved. Here’s hoping you find love in your life – from family, friends and those you meet along the way.
It’s been raining quite a bit here. I’m one of those people who loves the rain. After all of the drought we’ve had out this way, I’m grateful for every drop that falls.
Of course, it would fine with me if I could be at home, snuggled in my bed, reading a good book and listening to the rain fall, instead of being at work, but I’m glad to have a job I enjoy.
